Once you're in, the eclectic, colourful Middle Eastern room is lively rather than hushed, which suits children who can't sit still, and the staff are attentive without hovering. High chairs, buggy access and a kids' menu are all here, and the vegan and vegetarian side of the menu is genuinely strong: crisp-outside, fluffy-inside falafel, silky hommos with warm flatbread, batata harra roast potatoes with a chilli kick, zesty tabbouleh, and za'atar flatbread. Chicken shawarma and the spinach-and-feta borek go down well too, as does the Lebanese hot chocolate. Portions can be big enough to box up, though not everyone finds the prices match what lands — around £25 a head with drinks. Sweet-tooth warning: dessert options thin out if you're vegan.
