Cafés · Gloucester
Tucked almost beside the cathedral, this is a genuinely lovely spot for a family breakfast — old church pews converted into snug seating, which gives it real warmth and character but does mean it's cosy rather than roomy. Step-free entry helps with a buggy, and there are high chairs, a kids' menu and outdoor tables if you'd rather spread out. Worth knowing the toilets are outside round the corner, so no changing facilities on hand. The staff are consistently kind and unhurried — one parent found them "considerate, attentive and genuinely welcoming". Portions are big and good value: the full breakfast comes with tea or coffee, the French toast disappears fast, and the beef burger gets proper reactions. It's often full, so arrive early or expect a wait. Dogs welcome too.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
