Griffins Head
A welcoming Canterbury pub with outdoor seating and a 4.5-star rating, easygoing enough to bring the whole family along.

Coffee Shops · Dover
Tucked beside the East Kent Railway line, this is the kind of stop where children can watch trains go by from the outdoor seating while you finish a coffee — and the coffee here is genuinely good, made with care and priced kindly for what you get. Breakfasts are fresh and generous, with quality ingredients and enough on the plate to set everyone up for the day. There's a kids' area, high chairs, a kids' menu, a picnic spot, level buggy access and free parking, and it's dog-friendly too. Staff are usually warm and quick to check you're happy, though service can be hit and miss and the toilets aren't always spotless. It closes at four, so it's a breakfast-and-lunch place rather than an afternoon one. One family called it "a hidden gem".

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
