Tasties cafe
A Plymouth Market café doing generous, cooked-to-order fry-ups under a tenner, with a kids' menu, high chairs and genuinely accommodating staff.

Café · Plymouth
A small independent spot near the fish market in Plymouth city centre, with a handful of tables inside and a few more out front. It's snug rather than roomy, so on a dry day the outside seating is the easier option with a pram, though buggy access and high chairs are both there. No thumping music, comfortable seats, and a genuinely warm welcome from the family who run it. Breakfast is the draw — a full English cooked without a trace of greasiness, plus a children's version that keeps smaller ones happy — and portions are generous, with food arriving quickly. The homemade apple pie and ice cream and a chocolate muffin with a molten middle are worth staying for. The staff notice things: one child with a cough had a glass of water brought over unasked. One parent calls it "one of the little gems of Plymouth".

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
