A relaxed Plymouth café with a kids' menu, high chairs, outdoor seating and vegan options — easy for families to enjoy.

Cafés · Plymouth
Perched above Bovisand right on the coast path, this family-run café is the sort of stop that rescues a morning after a beach walk or a windy stretch of clifftop. The sea views come with shaded outdoor tables, a kids' menu, high chairs and buggy access, plus a toilet on site — small things that matter when you've got a tired three-year-old. Breakfasts get proper praise (mushrooms with colour, tomatoes seasoned), the cakes and sandwiches are homemade, the hot chocolate is a hit, and there's a genuinely large gluten-free range including cakes. Vegan options too, though it's oat milk only. Two honest snags: the sign says good food not fast food, so expect a wait at busy times, and the pay-and-display car park is small, pricey and fills early. It's also very dog-friendly — lovely, unless yours is a child who'd rather they weren't.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
