Small, buzzy and run with real warmth — the owners greet you like they've been expecting you, which counts for a lot when you arrive with a pram and a hungry toddler. There's a kids' menu and high chairs, so you're not improvising. The cooking is the draw: plantain that people talk about afterwards, and lamb roasted properly, generous enough for the ££ price. Music plays and the room has a lounge feel rather than a canteen one, so it suits a relaxed early dinner more than a rushed lunch — and it does get lively, which is either cover for a noisy three-year-old or a bit much, depending on your child. Only a handful of families have found it so far, but they're unanimous: one parent called the service "top tier".
