It's a genuinely beautiful space — the decor draws comment constantly, and the ground floor hums with atmosphere rather than echoing, so a chattier table blends in. Staff are attentive and quick, with barely any wait between courses, which matters when someone small is running out of patience. There's a kids' menu, high chairs, buggy access and vegan options. Portions land big — the truffle pasta for two, served in a parmesan wheel, and the crab pasta both get raved about, and the lemon meringue is a proper showstopper. Two honest snags: the loos are cramped with a few broken fittings and often full of teenagers filming, and the odd dish arrives lukewarm or over-salted. Worth booking — it's busy, and deservedly so.
