The Punchbowl
Cosy, cheap Bristol pub with a locally loved Sunday roast, kids' menu, high chairs and a garden — but expect loud music and slow food when busy.

Mexican · Bristol
A small, bright Cali-Mex spot in Bristol where the portions do most of the talking — families routinely leave with boxes of leftovers, which makes it good value at ££ with a kids' menu and high chairs on hand. Food arrives quickly even when it's full, which helps enormously when someone's patience is running thin, and the team are easy about customising orders and confident with allergies and intolerances. Nachos are big enough to share between three, the pork and carne-val tacos get the loudest praise, and the veggie croquetas and churros with a hint of chilli are worth the room. Two honest snags: it's a small room, so a big group can make it echo, and it's popular enough that booking is sensible. There's outdoor seating and vegan options too.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
