Linguine Restaurant
Intimate Sale Italian with a bargain early bird, brilliant homemade desserts and staff who genuinely make a fuss of children.

Modern European · Sale
A small, quaint bistro in Sale where the cooking punches well above the room — Sunday roasts get the loudest praise, with pork or medium-rare beef done properly, crisp light Yorkshires, good gravy and portions big enough that nobody leaves hungry. The three-course set menu is decent value, and puddings like sticky toffee and the brownie are worth the extra course. Staff are attentive and warm with families; there's a kids' menu, high chairs, buggy access, outdoor seating and free parking, which takes the sting out of a Sunday outing. Two honest snags: it's a small space, so a big party in can make it noisy and hard to talk across the table, and tables seem to run on a rough two-hour turnaround — worth booking and asking when you'll need to be up.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
