Little Italy
Lively Inverness Italian with a kids' menu, high chairs, gluten-free options, outdoor seating and step-free buggy access.

Pizza · Inverness
Small, wood-fired and genuinely worth the faff — there are only about 18 seats inside and no bookings taken, so come early (just after five works) or be ready to wait with a hungry child. The sourdough base is fermented 48 hours and comes out soft and chewy with generous toppings; the Mediterranean Medley, Four Cheese with walnuts and the garlic cheese bread all get raved about, and the gluten-free version is properly good rather than an afterthought. Food arrives fast, which matters. There's outdoor seating that's lovely on a decent evening and gives you more room for a pram, plus high chairs, a kids' menu and vegan options. Staff are warm and often working the whole room single-handed. Parking in central Inverness is poor — walk or bus it if you can. One parent called it "definitely one of our better finds".

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
