Portions are generous, food generally arrives without a long wait, and the staff are cheerful and attentive with a table of seven as readily as a table of three. There's a kids' menu, high chairs, level buggy access, free parking and outdoor tables for sunny days — plus notably clean loos, which matters more than it should. The evening menu is shorter than lunch, so lunchtime is the better bet with children, and it's worth booking. Dogs are welcome too.
