Coffee Shops · Sheffield
Sheffield has plenty of cafés, but very few where a coeliac parent can hand their child a menu and say yes to all of it. Almost everything here is gluten free, or can be made so, and the cakes are the thing people travel for — cheesecakes, egg custards, condensed milk sponge, cream egg brownies, and slices so generous that finishing one is genuinely a challenge. Children do well with GF waffles topped with Nutella and strawberries, and the all-day breakfast and perfectly cooked eggs keep grown-ups happy. There's a kids' menu, high chairs, buggy access, outdoor seating and free parking, plus a toilet on site. Staff are warm and unbothered by fuss. It's an independent, so it's small — one parent describes it as "a hidden gem", which cuts both ways at busy weekend brunch times.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
