Southan Antiques Centre
A well-rated Stafford antiques centre with its own cafe, handy for a wander and a relaxed drink or bite together.

Restaurant · Stafford
Handy for the M6 and the Holiday Inn across the road, this is a big, modern dining room with a little park outside and indoor soft play, so children can burn off energy between courses. There's plenty of room for a pram, free parking, high chairs and a kids' menu, and staff who stay cheerful — one large family group of sixteen, with children from three to thirteen, had every plate arrive hot and at the same time. Burgers get the most praise, along with the mixed grill and apple crumble; adult portions are generous, though children's chips can be stingy (ask and they'll top them up without fuss). Quality is inconsistent — steaks in particular are hit and miss — but prices are low and booking online is straightforward if you're coming with a crowd.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
