Inside is small, clean and cosy, quiet enough on weekdays that a pram isn't a problem, and the staff are quick and genuinely warm with kids. Food arrives fast, which matters when someone's hit the wall: Sunday lunch is the thing to order, generous and close to home-cooked, though the lamb chops and sea bass get praise too, and there's apple crumble with custard after. Kids' menu and high chairs are there. Steaks have had the odd off night, so play it safe with the roast. Dogs welcome as well.
