Sir Isaac Newton
A laid-back Cambridge pub with burgers, pub grub and outdoor seating — an easy, relaxed choice for a family meal out.

Pub · Cambridge
A short walk from the town centre, this is the kind of pub where a family lunch works without much planning — plenty of room to spread out, a decent-sized outdoor area, high chairs and a kids' menu, and buggy access that doesn't involve a wrestling match at the door. The open pizza oven is the main event, and children tend to be fascinated by it; the n'duja gets particular praise, and there are regular 2-for-1 nights. Worth knowing: it gets genuinely busy, especially weekends and quiz nights, so pizzas can take a while — order early if someone's hungry. The toilets are upstairs, which is a faff with a toddler. The team are warm and accommodating, and one regular sums it up as "so worth it". Free parking, with street spaces usually findable nearby.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
