Outside tables look straight over the pier and the beach, with room to park a buggy and let everyone watch the world go by. There's a kids' menu and high chairs, and the team have a real reputation for patience; one family visiting with an autistic son found the whole meal relaxed rather than fraught. Fussy eaters do well here too — one small diner got through three saveloys. It's pricier than a standard chippy, and the gluten-free fish comes with no batter at all rather than a GF one, so set expectations. Portions are generous and food arrives hot.
