Tucked into Bangor with free parking just up the road, this is the sort of small café that looks like nothing from outside and then serves you one of the better breakfasts you'll have in Wales. The home-made chips are the thing people rave about — that and the breakfast baps with sausage, bacon and egg, the toasties, and generous full English plates, veggie version included. Service is quick and friendly, which matters when a toddler has hit the wall, and the staff are used to working around allergies. There's a kids' menu, high chairs, buggy access and outdoor tables that are lovely on a fine day. It fills up fast, so arrive early at weekends, and one or two find the coffee a touch dear for what it is.
