Tucked along the Trefriw trails, this little family-run café is an easy stop with children — free parking outside, outdoor tables when the weather plays along, high chairs indoors and a kids' menu, so nobody has to negotiate over a grown-up plate. Everything is cooked to order from local produce, which means a short wait, but it also means paninis arrive properly hot and fresh. The scone cream teas are the thing people come back for, with a genuinely generous heap of cream and jam; the bara brith and Welsh cakes are worth ordering too, and the coffee is good. It's small and spotlessly kept, dogs are welcome, and the owners are warm with everyone — one visitor describes a "lovely local and friendly feel". Handy after the waterfalls.
