Set on a community farm just outside Nottingham, this is the kind of stop where the parking is free and plentiful, the buggy rolls straight in, and nobody minds a bit of noise. Seating is generous both indoors and out, with covered tables for when the weather turns, so you're rarely stuck hovering with a tray. Food comes out fast and without fuss — the bacon, sausage and egg cobs in seeded bread have a devoted following, the brie, cranberry and bacon toastie is worth ordering, and children tend to do well with the berry porridge. Cakes are homemade-tasting, with vegan slices and plant milks available. High chairs, a kids' menu and a walk round the farm afterwards. It gets genuinely busy, and the toilets can't quite keep up at peak times.
