Twenty minutes for a table at the weekend is not unusual here, and once you're seated the food still takes a while — but parents keep going back anyway. It's a bright, cosy room with a warm, cosmopolitan feel, and the team are genuinely kind and attentive, including with allergies, which they'll work around without fuss. There's a car park round the back with a slip road down to the door, a kids' menu, high chairs and buggy access, plus some outdoor seating with overhead cover for sunny mornings or dog-friendly visits. The French toast, burgers, chicken goujons and rhubarb tart get the loudest praise, along with the scones, smoothies and protein balls. It's busy with locals, and the scones can be hit or miss, but one family drives up from Louth just to eat here.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
