Sit-down Italian-Turkish café food in the middle of Coventry, with a menu long enough that fussy eaters, vegans and grandparents all find something. Breakfast is the thing to order — the big English comes with thick-cut bacon and good sausages, the veggie version is done just as carefully, and the pasta is fresh and properly flavoured. Food arrives fast, which matters when someone's hungry and losing patience. There are high chairs, a kids' menu, step-free buggy access, outdoor tables and clean toilets. Go before 10am if you want it calm; by half ten it's full and lively. They'll take a big group booking, which not everywhere will. Portions can be uneven — the lamb curry is light on meat for £15 — and cakes and coffees run pricey, but the hot chocolate at Christmas is worth the walk. One parent calls the atmosphere "nice and warm".
