The room is bright and spotless with a fresh scent, buggy-friendly, and there's outdoor seating in the shade when it's warm. Food is homemade and genuinely good: the Buttercup burger, brie, cranberry and bacon panini, truffle fries, Lemon Bakewell and the scones all get raved about, and the coffee is exceptional. Prices are kind by London standards, though tea runs £3.75. Two snags worth knowing — it gets busy and food can be slow, and the kitchen shuts before 4, so arrive in good time. Afternoon tea needs 24 hours' notice.
