Bring a child who can lose an hour to a pile of bricks and this Sheffield café makes sense fast — the whole idea is that you build LEGO while you eat, with a big spread of sets to pick from and staff who patiently walk newcomers through how it works. The space is clean and open with separate areas so groups can spread out without bothering each other, and there are high chairs and a kids' menu. Food is straightforward rather than fancy — toasties, cookies, very good cakes and desserts — but it's tasty, arrives quickly and doesn't cost much, with non-dairy and decaf drinks and vegan options. Allergy questions are handled knowledgeably. Two things worth knowing: it's charged by the hour, and building eats time, so allow two to three hours and book if you can. One parent called it "very relaxed".
