A big, easy-going pub where the pressure comes off almost as soon as you sit down — there's a pool table, and a room with soft play in it, which buys you a good twenty minutes of hot food while the children burn off the car journey. Buggy access is straightforward, high chairs are there, and the car park is large and free, with EV chargers. Food comes out fast — one big family group had all nineteen plates within seven minutes — and the burgers get the most praise, the Korean one especially. Prices are gentle; one regular says it "won't break the bank". It's not spotless every visit, and standards have wobbled lately, with the odd sticky table or thin-looking plate, so it's more a reliable refuel than a special occasion.
