Right in the middle of Windermere, this is a small, relaxed spot that feels a world away from the chain coffee shops — dogs snoozing under tables, cafetière coffee, and a genuinely warm welcome from the team. Breakfast is the thing to come for: breakfast wraps and muffins that people call great value, waffles with fried chicken, generously built eggs Benedict, and proper porridge before a walk. There's a kids' menu, high chairs, buggy access, outdoor seating and free parking, and they'll happily sort gluten-free or vegetarian. Two honest caveats: it's genuinely small, so a pram plus a busy morning is tight, and when it's full the kitchen can slow right down — one family waited an hour for breakfast. Come early or on a quieter day and it's lovely.
