Lively Spanish and tapas spot in Kendal with a kids' menu, high chairs, step-free buggy access and outdoor seating.

Brunch · Kendal
A Kendal High Street stop that works surprisingly well with children in tow, thanks to a kids' menu, high chairs and level buggy access from the pavement. Breakfast is the draw — full Englishes with genuinely good meat, an all-day breakfast wrap, and soup that families still talk about afterwards. Vegan eaters do properly well here (the scrambled tofu gets particular praise), gluten-free requests are handled without fuss, and the coffee is a cut above. Be warned on two counts: it's pricier than a standard fry-up, around £30 for two breakfasts with drinks, and Saturdays fill up fast, with larger tables at the back often shared. Outdoor seating helps when it's busy inside. Dogs are welcomed with a big box of biscuits, which small children find as exciting as the adults do.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
