Browns Bristol
Grand ornate dining room with piano, a pram-friendly terrace, generous roasts and croquettes, and patient staff who handle big tables well.

Gastropub · Bristol
Tucked off the high street beside Berkeley Square, this one sits slightly sunken, so you step down into a covered outdoor area that's lovely on a warm day and gives you somewhere to park a pram without blocking anyone. The bar end is airy and spacious; the restaurant further along feels cosier. Sunday roasts come out generous with a big Yorkshire pudding and good seasonal veg, and the dirty burger has a real following — leave room for the chocolate bomb. There's a kids' menu, high chairs and vegan options, and staff are generally quick and warm, though one family found them friendly but slow to check back. Pop music plays constantly, which helps cover a noisy toddler. Parking is pay-and-display around the square.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
