Breakfast and brunch are the draw: Mexican eggs, black bean quesadillas, and hash browns that come out crunch-outside, soft-inside with dips worth ordering for their own sake. The vegan breakfast is a proper plateful, tofu scramble and a sausage that converts sceptics, and portions are generous for the price. Staff are unhurried and genuinely warm with children — one parent's four-year-old, who struggles in busy rooms, was settled by a few kind smiles. Service stays quick even on a bank holiday. There's a kids' menu and high chairs. It does get busy and lively at peak brunch times, so it's not the spot for a silent coffee.
