The pork and stuffing bap with proper meaty gravy and thick-cut chips comes in portions big enough to defeat most adults, and a large breakfast at around £6.50 is genuinely good value; plates arrive warmed, which tells you something. There are cakes, pastries, corned beef pie and famously enormous peach melbas at the counter. The team are quick, patient and unfussy, allergies are taken seriously, and the place is spotless. High chairs, a kids' menu, buggy access and free parking; outdoor seating too. It's dog friendly to its bones, so expect a few tails under the tables.
