Coffee Shops · Liverpool
A calm, modern room in Liverpool that several families say gives off holiday-abroad warmth — Libyan hospitality, halal food, and prices that surprise people in a good way. Breakfast lands around £8 and is generous; the chicken tawook, the dipped crispy chicken burger and the BBQ wings all get repeat praise, as does the battered fish with mushy peas and tartar sauce (the chips portion is on the small side). Buggy access, high chairs, a kids' menu and free parking take the usual stress out, and there's outdoor seating when the little ones need air. The staff are patient and attentive, though be aware service can be uneven — some visitors waited close to an hour, and menu items occasionally run out without warning. Go on a quiet weekday and one parent's verdict fits: "a proper hidden gem".
