Sunday brunch here goes down easily with children in tow — buggies get in without a fight, there are high chairs, and the seating area is large and comfortable enough that nobody's squeezed against a stranger's table. Tables turn quickly; several people mention being seated almost immediately, which matters when someone's already grizzling. The shakshuka comes up again and again, as does the full bod breakfast with proper sausages and the American stack pancakes — portions are generous rather than fussy. There's a kids' menu, vegan and gluten-free options, and the hot chocolate is worth ordering for yourself. Staff are friendly and good at recommending things. It's a café-bar with its own brewery, so evenings skew more grown-up, and the vintage decor keeps it cosy but bright. One family called the atmosphere "so chill and friendly".

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
