Cafés · Bangor, Gwynedd
Tucked down an alleyway in the town centre, this is an old building turned into a snug bar downstairs with an airy loft café above — high ceilings, exposed beams, old pews and retro bits, roomy enough that nobody feels squashed in. Staff are warm and genuinely attentive, patient with dietary requirements, and happy to sort a big table if you book ahead. Breakfast and brunch are the draw: thick homemade brioche french toast, chorizo hash, granola bowls, and sriracha hot honey hash brown bites that visitors call properly moreish. High chairs, a kids' menu and vegan options are all there. Worth knowing: the menu is short, coffee can be slow at busy times, and it's whole milk unless you pay extra for oat. One family described it as somewhere you could happily stay all afternoon.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
