Jasmine Bakery House
A well-rated, budget-friendly bakery-café in Newcastle upon Tyne — an easy stop for a fresh bake and a coffee with the kids.

British · Newcastle upon Tyne
Tucked into a stone building with nearly a thousand years of history behind it, this is a proper occasion place that still works with children in tow — buggy access, high chairs and a kids' menu, plus tables outside when the weather allows. Service is the standout: friendly, attentive, and quick enough that food lands before anyone unravels. The Sunday set menu is good value, with braised lamb shoulder and whatever fish is running that day both cooked beautifully, and the sticky toffee pudding, served with banana ice cream, is worth ordering for the table. Vegan options exist and are decent, though the choice of main is thin. Portions are generous and nobody rushes you out. Worth booking, especially for the festive menu — one family found the whole afternoon "special and still comfortable".

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
