Cafés · Ipswich
Set in the stable block at Holywells Park, this is the sort of café that makes a park morning easy — free parking, a buggy-friendly way in, high chairs, and tables outside if the children need room to fidget. It's calm inside, jazz playing quietly, fans and air con for hot days, and the staff are unfailingly patient: they ask about allergies, offer a glass of ice with a drink, and food turns up fast when it's quiet. Breakfasts get the loudest praise — thick locally sourced bacon and sausages, properly cooked, generous enough that fussy eaters clear the plate. Gluten-free sandwiches and scones, vegan pasties and oat-milk coffees are all sorted. Two snags: it's card only, and one parent found a lunch box and a drink at nearly £10 steep. There's also a kiosk by the play park doing whippies and slushies in summer.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
