Set in a converted canalside warehouse, this is a place that works better for a lively family lunch than a quiet one — there's a DJ some nights, live music outdoors, and events on regularly, so weekends get loud. Buggy access is easy, there are high chairs, a kids' menu and outdoor seating, and parking is free (though the car park itself is awkward and could do with a rethink). The kitchen leans into open-fire cooking: the pork belly burnt ends, short rib and ham hock come in for particular praise, and the Sunday roast holds up for big groups. Portions are generous. Prices have crept up, though, and children's desserts are charged nearly at adult rates — one family paid £7 for a cookie and ice cream. Staff are friendly and take feedback well.
