There's a kids' menu, high chairs and buggy access, and the staff are attentive and quick to explain dishes without hovering, which helps when you're juggling a child and an order. It's a quaint, cosy space rather than a roomy one, so it suits older or calmer children better, and it's worth booking. Prices sit on the higher side — a full three courses with wine adds up — though Sunday lunch is reliably good value. There are usually at least two vegetarian options. One parent calls it simply "our favourite restaurant".
