A converted lodge tucked near the river, this is a small place with two soft play sections and equipment that's genuinely good quality, if a bit cramped to squeeze around at the entrance. Only three or four tables, so booking ahead matters — they cap numbers, which does mean it rarely feels overrun. Buggy access, high chairs and a kids' lunchbox menu are there, and the food is simple: toasties, sausage rolls, that sort of thing. The coffee gets praise more often than the food does. Be warned, though: cleanliness and warmth have been real sticking points, with cold rooms, doors propped open and grubby toilets coming up repeatedly, and at £5 per child regardless of age, one parent felt the toddler price was "a complete rip off". Worth a look if you're passing, but go in with expectations set.
