A big, busy Italian in the middle of Mansfield that copes well with children — buggy access is straightforward, high chairs are there, and there's outdoor seating that's worth asking about on a sunny day. The kitchen sends out fresh, properly seasoned food: pizza, lasagne and the goats cheese pasta come up again and again, and the spicy sausage pasta genuinely is spicy, so steer little ones elsewhere on that one. Gluten-free families do especially well here — pasta, pizza, garlic bread and puddings all covered rather than the usual salad-or-jacket-potato consolation prize. The team are patient and quick, and happy to box up whatever the children don't finish. Free parking helps. It's not cheap for what it is — one grandparent clocked £44 for two mains — and it's a chain menu, so don't expect surprises.
