A little hole-in-the-wall spot that manages to feel like an oasis in a busy part of the city, though you should know upfront that it's tiny — around ten seats inside, so it works better as a quick sit-down or a takeaway than a leisurely family lunch. Food comes out fast, often in five minutes or so, which is worth a lot when someone is losing patience. The bao buns are fluffy and generously filled, the braised pork rice gets named again and again, and the chicken katsu has a real following. Portions are big, the lunch deal is around £7 and the vegan options are genuinely good rather than an afterthought. Staff are kind and quick to shuffle things around to make room for prams and bags. Not everything lands — the sweet and spicy chicken can come out dry.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
