Set inside a grand old bank building right in the middle of Glasgow, this is the kind of Italian that feels like an occasion but still copes with children. Staff have been noted for being lovely with babies and toddlers, and there's a welcome host who walks you in — helpful when you're juggling a buggy. Food arrives quickly, portions are generous, and the open kitchen gives restless children something to watch. The sea salt and rosemary focaccia, the meatballs, the linguine gamberoni and the lasagne all get real praise, and there's a kids' menu, high chairs and outdoor seating. Two honest snags: tables are set close together, so a pram will need parking somewhere, and it's not cheap — a 12.5% service charge is added automatically. One parent still called it "a solid 4.5 out of 5".
