Newcastle's Pan Asian menus can blur together, but this one spreads itself across Japanese, Korean and even a few Filipino dishes, so there's usually something to tempt a picky eater alongside a proper kids' menu. Parents rave about the ribeye ("melt in the mouth"), soft shell crab, chicken teriyaki skewers and the spicy seafood ramen, and the vegan side is genuinely strong — okonomiyaki, pumpkin curry donburi, tofu rice bowls. Staff come up again and again as cheery and helpful.
