There's a covered waiting area, and tables turn over fast; you order at the counter and food comes to you, usually drinks within five minutes and mains in fifteen, which matters when someone's hit their limit. The dining area is modern with several distinct seating zones, so you can find a corner with room for a pram, and there's outdoor seating, high chairs, a kids' menu, vegan options and free parking. Portions are enormous — a sourdough toastie arrives with rice, salad and coleslaw — and the scones come with a serious amount of clotted cream. It isn't cheap, and the farm shop next door is properly tempting. Staff are warm with everyone. One parent calls it "a great find".
