A big, buzzy Deansgate curry house that copes well with a family in tow — buggy access, high chairs, a kids' menu and free parking out front, plus the Deansgate-Castlefield tram stop a short walk away. It's loud, which is the point: nobody notices a grizzly toddler over the general hum, and food tends to arrive quickly. Portions are enormous — the standard naan is huge and the family naan genuinely enormous — so sharing a few dishes keeps costs down at roughly £15 a head. Starters are the strong suit; the mixed platter and massala fish get particular praise, and the desserts are worth saving room for. Do book, and even then expect a short wait at peak times; the decor is looking a bit dated, and mains can be on the oily side.
