Blossom Cafe
Cosy family-run café near the hospital with flat access, free parking outside, fast hot breakfasts and a dessert display kids can't ignore.

Pub · Manchester

Handy if you're passing the airport with restless kids in the back — the real draw here is out the back, where a big terrace with plenty of seating looks straight onto the runway and planes come over low enough to make everyone stop talking. There's a covered hangar area for rainy days, so you're not stuck indoors. Buggy access is fine, high chairs are there, and there's a kids' menu; food tends to arrive quickly even when it's busy, and staff are consistently patient and attentive — that comes up again and again. Inside is a proper art deco showpiece, and the toilets are spotless. Two snags: parking is paid (around £2 for an hour), and mains sit near £16–17 for what several families felt was average pub food. Come for the planes and a drink, and manage expectations on the meal.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
