Tucked a short walk from the station and the Laines, this is a small, cosy pub with a surprisingly serious Thai kitchen — the massaman and red curries, Tom Yum soup, Pad Thai and sticky ribs all come in for real praise, and there are tapas plates if children want something quick before anyone unravels. Food arrives fast and the team are warm without hovering; one visitor was handed their curry by a smiling chef. There's a kids' menu, high chairs and outdoor seating, plus a snug that's handy if you want to tuck away from the bar. Two honest caveats: drinks are Brighton-priced (£17 for two rounds isn't unusual), and weekday evenings can get rowdy outside with sports crowds — lunchtimes and early evenings are the calmer bet. Fresh flowers on the tables are a nice touch.
