Tucked inside the Courtyard by Marriott, this is a calmer, more grown-up sort of dinner than most family spots — cosy, nicely decorated, and quiet enough that a baby napping in the pram won't be drowned out. There's step-free access, high chairs, a kids' menu and a few outdoor tables, plus vegan options if someone in the group needs them. The staff are attentive and quick to settle you with water and menus, and mains usually land within about twenty minutes. Burgers and fries come in generous, well-judged portions, the pork tomahawk gets real praise, and the sticky toffee pudding with IPA toffee sauce is the thing people come back for. Two snags worth knowing: it's not cheap for what it is, and service can drift once the mains are cleared — worth flagging if you're on a clock.
